Our Unity Glorifies God

In the current social and political climate, one week after the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ, we have a Gospel passage on unity.  “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.  And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.”

On the contrary, St. Paul gives us a way of looking at the purpose of our diversity.  “The grace bestowed in abundance on more and more people may cause the thanksgiving to overflow for the glory of God.”
